Episodes 2024 – Saturday 23rd March

Our dance group was selected for the second year running to be part of Episodes 2024 – the Nottinghamshire platform for Youth Dance companies from all over the county. The performance was at Lakeside Arts Theatre in the evening after a workshop led by a guest leader from National Youth Dance, a technical rehearsal and dress rehearsal where they could watch all the other dance pieces.

We added to our dance that we performed for Nottingham Light Night and gave it the title of ‘Out of the Darkness’, using recorded voices of the group over sound reflecting moments of darkness in their lives which was really effective. The dance showed the struggle that we sometimes have to overcome these moments but how we support each other to get through and ‘find the light’. It was such a great evening and we were so proud of our dance group, covering for absences due to illness at the last minute and still performing brilliantly.
